- Scope
- Brand identity, publication design, digital templates
Summary
A complete visual identity and publication system for a boutique publisher of architecture monographs and field research.
Context
Field Notes Publishing required an identity that could move between scholarly rigour and travel-worn immediacy. The demonstration project spans logotype, cover architecture, interior grids, and digital storefront assets.
Challenge
The imprint publishes both highly visual monographs and text-heavy field reports, often within the same seasonal catalogue and at small print runs.
Concept
We built a modular grid system with interchangeable cover bands, a restrained serif for long-form reading, and a monospaced utility family for metadata, indices, and colophon pages.
Outcomes
The demonstration identity shows how a single graphic framework can accommodate varied content types while remaining unmistakably authored.
